bgo Entertainment to Remove Wagering Requirements

Popular gambling operator, bgo Entertaiment, has announced that it will be removing minimum wagering requirements from its bonuses starting from the 15th of October, 2017.

This means that as of this date, any bonuses offered by bgo.com, including bgo Casino, its other bgo gambling brands and its sister site powerspins.com, will be in the form of real cash only or 'wagerless' free spins.

According to the iGaming operator, it has decided to make this change due to player feedback and the UK's changing regulatory environment regarding online casinos.

"We’ve not taken this decision lightly", said bgo Entertainment CMO Allan Turner. "The recent changes to the regulatory environment in the UK means we are spending time with various parties, be it the UKGC, the CMA, ASA and then of course the players themselves."

The UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) has been making a notable effort to crackdown on the iGaming industry. This past May, bgo was fined £300,000 by the UKGC for having misleading advertising.

Once the 15th of October hits, bgo Entertainment brands will no longer be among the operators who continue to rope customers in with minimum wagering regulations that prevents customers from withdrawing any wins until they have successfully met the conditions. In some cases, this can mean needing to wager 50x to 60x the original bonus amount.

"Hopefully bgo can demonstrate to the industry that restrictive bonus wagering conditions are not the way to go and we can make them a thing of the past,” Turner added.
