Microgaming Shows off New VR Roulette Experience

Technological advancements are always being made in the iGaming industry as developers of online casino games continue to seek new ways to deliver exciting and innovative gaming experiences to their customers. Microgaming, a software developer considered to be a pioneer in the industry, is once again showing its innovation with the creation of real money virtual reality casing games, starting with its VR Roulette.

At ICE 2016, which happened last month, Microgaming’s CRYO lab display was one of the show’s top highlights. The 3D exhibit showcased the premium developer’s widespread R&D drive for its preparation of the industry’s VR technology. It designed its VR Roulette exclusively for this year’s edition of ICE Totally Gaming.

VR Roulette works by requiring the player to wear the Oculus Rift, a virtual reality headset that provides them with an interactive three-dimensional gaming environment.  Via the headset and 3D controllers, Microgaming’s virtual reality roulette prototype transports players to a virtual roulette table in outer space.

Although Microgaming’s VR Roulette is not the first developer to develop a VR casino game or use the Oculus Rift, the company’s exhibit at ICE was highly successful and further proved how both it and online gaming is advancing with virtual reality and wearable technologies.
