Pennsylvania Boost in Revenue from Slot Machines

slot machinesThe Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has posted on its website the monthly report for the total revenue generated from slot machines in various casinos during the month of September 2018. From the report, the revenue collected from slots machines in the month of September is $196 million, which is an increase in 0.5% from the revenue collected in September last year. The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board indicated that the slot machines from the casino are the primary source of income from the casinos.

The board has suggested that each casino was striving to improve their slot machines, which will attract more customers. The casinos are coming up with the latest advanced slot machines, which will boost their customer base increasing their revenue.   The average number of slot machines in operation on a daily basis during the month of September was 25,471. This is a decrease in the machines that were in operation in the month of September last year, which stands at 25,971.

Parz casino had the highest amount of revenue, which reached up to $33.9 million. This is a 4.6% increment as compared to last year. The other casino that followed was Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem, which made $24.2 million, but it was a decrease of 2.4% from the revenue that they collected last year, which was $24.8 million. The casino that got the most significant revenue increment from the slot machines was Valley Forge Casino Resort, which got an increase of 9.5%. The casino raised its revenue from $8.7 million in 2017 to $9.9 million in 2018.
